You are too funny. But, I think only you know what you need to preserve and I think you are right in the drawing of boundaries. I do look forward to your future irreverent and hilarious posts.
I loved it. Sorry, it took a while to get to it. I totally get it. Some days I get it, and other days, well. I know the part on the energy and everything. One thing, from this side, you do well. Sometimes, as they say with sausage, you don't want to know how it's made. Sometimes we doon't want to see how someone navigates their day. We just want the happy. Thank you for sharing it all. It's what makes you who you are today. Sometimes, it's the bad stuff and the good that make us the best we are. You're the best to me. Thank you.
Oh man. That’s so kind of you to say! What a great feeling it is when you think you’re alone and odd in thinking something, and then you have someone say ‘me too’. Thank you. Angela.
Welcome back Abbey, even if it's only for a little while. If I can offer a thought ... anyone who genuinely cares for and appreciates you, even in an Internet-friends slightly-awkward parasocial way, will WANT you to look after yourself and value that over and above anything you might "provide" for them in terms of writing or engagement. This is sometimes hard to internalise when you grow up in a family system that values taking from you endlessly like a vending machine and labelling it "love". Wishing you well.
Skye, this is wonderful. And it’s exactly what I needed to hear, which of course you knew. Because YOU’RE wonderful and brilliant.
You’re right. I know you’re right. But as you said, it’s hard to unlearn somethings that were etched so deeply within us when we’re so young. I really appreciate you saying this to me. I’ll likely read it a number of times
I love how you continue to show up, and I would never presume to think I 'deserve' you to show up in any particular way. The fact that you have the guts to write what you do is both inspiring and pretty damn incredible.
Thank you, Jane! I needed to hear that and I appreciate it so much. I know I ‘know’ that… but old thought habits are hard to truly get rid of. I really appreciate this x
You are a cultivator. You pursue, foster, nurture relationships, genuinely. Read these comments! You are respected, pursued and cared for reciprocally by a community curated by you being you. Soak your cells in this admiration. There is more to come dear friend.
You already know how much I admire your honesty and how fiercely you protect your own space. The weight you carry is real, and your willingness to bring it into the open is something I wish more of us could do. I know what it’s like to weather those storms, to shrink your world down just enough to get through—sometimes you have to board up the windows, even if it means blocking out the sun for a while.
But what you wrote here is a reminder: none of us should have to go it alone. We’re all a little tougher when we’ve got someone in our corner, and a little lighter when someone checks in just because.
So let’s make a point of it. If you’re reading this, take the time to reach out to a friend—especially the ones who seem strong. Sometimes they’re the ones who need it most.
Sending you love, Abbey. I’m here, and I hope everyone else finds their corner, too.
Robert!!! This is so generous of you. Thank you for seeing me. For understanding me. For supporting me. And for paying it forward like this. I appreciate you so very much. So much love to you ❤️

Oh, I’m still hilariously irreverent. Can’t take that away from me. It’s all about balance, yeah? ;-) Don’t you worry, Chris. And thank you ❤️
This is what it means to be brave: not pretending the storms don’t exist, but knowing when to board the windows and when to crack the door open again.
Allen, yes. Yes, Allen. Thank you, love❤️
Girl. I am captivated by you and your story. Remember, what people think is NOT reality. You are fierce. I can feel it from here!!
Awww man. Sarah-Frances!!! This is so sweet and wonderful. Thank you. Love you, sister❤️

This was incredibly raw and truthful. Thank you for putting words to so many of some of our own experiences.
